P53 House
800 ตร.ม
Punnawithee 53, Sukhumvit, Bangkok
Project Brief
An 800 sq.m. three-storey residence on Punnawithee 53, Sukhumvit — a project that navigates the program demands of a large private house while maintaining compositional clarity on a tight urban plot.
The facade is organized as a series of interlocking white concrete volumes — some projecting, some receding — punctuated by stone cladding panels and vertical timber elements that introduce warmth and scale. A full-height glazed void at the rear elevation, framed in black steel, anchors the section and draws daylight deep into the double-height living spaces below. A spiral staircase in timber and black steel, visible from the garden, reads as both circulation and sculpture.
At ground level, a glass canopy preserves an existing mature tree, integrating it into the entry sequence rather than removing it. Inside, the register shifts decisively toward luxury: marble floors and feature walls, gold vertical accent strips, and a double-height living volume establish a spatial quality consistent with the property's address. The master suite continues this language with dark stone headboard panels and pendant lighting that treats the bedroom as a destination rather than a function.
