Nartmontri Pool Villa

A pair of 200 sq.m. pool villas in Chonburi — designed as a twin residential compound with individual privacy but a unified architectural expression. Sited within a tropical garden setting, the scheme responds to Chonburi's resort-residential typology while maintaining the restraint of a private residence.

The form is organized around a clear parti: a white concrete volume — cantilevered at the upper floor — anchored by a vertical timber cladding panel that reads as the building's thermal and visual spine. A dark stone feature wall defines the pool boundary, providing enclosure without enclosing; the pool terrace remains open to the garden and sky.

Full-height glazing across both levels dissolves the boundary between interior and exterior, allowing the tropical landscape to penetrate the living spaces. Photographed at twilight, the warm interior light diffusing through the glass captures the design's essential intention: a house that is as much about what is seen from outside as how it feels within.
