A 45 sq.m. residential interior within The Forestias — MQDC's landmark mixed-use development designed around the concept of living within nature. The design responds to its context: a compact unit that nonetheless aspires to the calm and material warmth of the surrounding forest environment.

Vertical timber slat panels anchor the scheme — appearing as a full-height bedroom feature wall, wrapping the room's corner, and continuing as a textured backing to the media unit in the living area. The repetition of this single element across zones creates visual continuity across a floor plate where conventional partition walls would otherwise fragment the space.

The palette is held deliberately narrow: warm cream plaster, natural oak, linen-weight sheers, and dark-stained wood flooring. Arched forms — a backlit vanity mirror, a recessed niche — introduce softness without ornamentation. The result is a unit that reads as considerably larger than its footprint, and considerably quieter than its address.
